June 27

Arriving in Kansas we expected to see very few fields of wheat left standing. But this has been a very wet year and the farmers continue to have to wait to be able to harvest their wheat. They have had a very wet year, unlike the current weather we left in Indiana.
For those city folks here who don't have a clue as to what I'm talking about this is a picture of a field of wheat waiting to be harvested. It is usually taller than this and very rarely is it still standing by the end of June. The usual harvest time is late May or early June in this part of the country.
