Ketchikan is a city on an island and there are only three ways to get here: boat, plain, or birth. The last one is something that you really don't have a lot of say over, but the first two are worth considering. As Ketchikan is so close to the sea everything is very green here and wet much of the time. The other day someone said that their yearly rainfall was around 160 inches. The good news is that it doesn't come all at one time. The bad news is that it seems to average about 1/2 an inch a day.
